If you want some real adventure, then go and climb the Cerro Chirripó! This trekking (with an experienced guide) will take you to the highest mountain peak of Costa Rica and Central America (3805m). En route, you will enjoy the beautiful, lush nature and experience a spectacular sunrise at the summit of Cerro Chirripó.

In the afternoon: arrival at the hotel
After your arrival, you’ve got time to relax! There’s a nice pool at the hotel and you can explore the area to get in the mood for the big climb.
Your luggage will be transported separately to the Chirripo and this will be arranged from the hotel between 17:00 and 18:30 hrs. If you can not arrive before this hour, please let us know so that we can take appropriate measures.
19.30: Dinner in the hotel restaurant
20.00: Detailed explanation on your hike to the top by your tour guide
4:30: Breakfast (you also get a snack on the way)
05:00: Start hike to Cerro Chirripo
Lunch at environmental information center El Paramo
18:00 – 19:00 Dinner at El Paramo
Duration: +/- 7 hours
03:00: Breakfast in El Paramo information center (you will get a snack for the road again)
After breakfast you to the top of Cerro Chirripo (5 km) where you also enjoy a spectacular sunrise
You then go downhill to El Paramo (5 km)
Descent to San Gerardo de Rivas (14.5 km)
Your tour ends with a nice lunch at the hotel
